Behind Tonton Marcel is a French-German young couple, Alexandra and Laurent, who love spending their holidays “off the beaten track”, especially in the land by innovative Bed & Breakfasts, and wanted to give a different insight to this art of travelling and share their passion to people who wouldn't instinctively think to this went it comes to planning the next trip…
The starting point of their adventure is the notice that, despite the craze for authentic experiences and products from the land, rural tourism still often suffers from an old-fashioned and thus unattractive image.

In today’s search for authenticity, Tonton Marcel aims at becoming THE source of inspiration for trips combining land and style: agritourism, oenotourism, gastronomy, crafts…
To the travel lovers, Tonton Marcel offers a fun website, where, far from the complex pages of many, they will roam through the personal spaces of the owners and also have a look at the Blog or at the Cuisine & Co. section to find some inspiration for their next “Apéritif”…
To the owners, it’s a real light on their property and on the treasures of their region and their own production. They can have their personal page created on the website, where they can display and update their news, but also use the Cuisine & Co. and the Schedule sections to publish recipes or introduce their products… and then lead potential clients to the presentation of their property!
Criteria used in the choice of our hosts:
• “Love at first sight”: we would personally want to go there, and share our findings with friends
• A real discovery of the French “terroir”: wine, gastronomy, farming, tradition & crafts
• A specific atmosphere, style, that will make your stay a special experience
